Images to mark educational milestones.
Doreen Dotto offers schools the opportunity to provide students and their parents with fine portraiture that stands above the traditional “school photos.”
When photographing students, Doreen takes time needed with each individual. By working cooperatively, both photographer and subject create an image that the student and ultimately the parent will be happy with. During each session, the student gives input into the pose and sees the images as they unfold in order to ensure that they will be happy with the shot.
Doreen’s work has been used by various Private Schools in the Toronto area, photographing students from Nursery School to High School graduation. In addition to portraiture, she will provide photography for special occasions, such as theatre portraits, honors awards winners, graduation portraits & parent/child events.

Sessions are done on location. All that is required is space, an electrical outlet and the ability to turn off any artificial lighting. Existing daylight does not pose a problem. Parking near the shoot location is required.
Packages of proofs in both Colour and Black and White are sent home through the school and orders are usually dropped off and picked up at the school. Foreign students may have their proofs and order forms emailed to their families.
Payment for foreign students can be done in a number of ways. Parents who have had proofs emailed may call or email Doreen directly for information regarding shipping and handling fees and choosing their method of delivery. (Canada Post or courier) Parents may then send advance payment in Canadian dollars. Images will be forwarded directly to them or to the school, as per their request. As an alternative, parents and students may provide payment through the student’s school account.
The turn around time is less than two weeks for proofs and approximately two to three weeks for final print delivery after the order and payment has been received.

School Sitting Fees
- The sitting fee is waved when booking a session for 11 or more students who will be ordering prints.
- A set up fee of $100 is charged booking a session for 5 to 10 students.
- When booking a session for less than 4 students or for school related images that will not offer opportunities for parent print purchases, the full Location Session Fee of $250.00 is charged. Session fee includes approximately two hours of photographer’s time and talent. This includes a set up time of approximately 20 minutes. Additional time is charged at a rate of $75.00 per hour.
- Please note that some schools have chosen to forgo the sitting fee instead opting to have Doreen charge a minimal per-student sitting fee.
CDs
CDs are available to schools wishing to use images for yearbooks, websites and publications. The cost of the CD is pro rated in accordance to the resolution factor needed and the number of images required.
